The latest version of avast review windows is fresh and tidy, with sections for each of the tools in the suite. However, the vast amount of white space has also led to some features being hidden; the homepage offers you quick shortcuts to run scans or turn on the VPN for example, and there are links to a few not-very-useful system optimisation tools, too, but most of the program’s features are tucked away in the Explore tab. Installation is simple and easy, and there’s no pressure to upgrade. However, the initial scan will uncover problems that require more advanced knowledge and can only be resolved with an upgrade to a premium plan. This is a problem and one that Which? raised in its 2020 report.
